William "Bill" G. Schnoor

April 13, 1943 - September 20, 2018

William G. Schnoor, age 75, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Shalimar Gardens in Fremont.

Bill was born on April 13, 1943 to Harold and Viola (Flamme) Schnoor in Scribner, NE. Bill was married on June 14, 1964 to Dianne (Wobken) at St. John's Lutheran Church, Cuming County Line. Bill and Dianne had one son, Michael.

Bill grew up in Scribner and graduated from Scribner High School. He attended The University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he was on the bowling team. Bill was a math teacher in Seward. He continued his education and pursued his Master's Degree in administration. He went on to become a well respected long time school administrator and worked at the public schools in Wakefield, Newcastle, Coleridge, Valley and Bloomfield. He also served on the board for the Nebraska Schools Activities Association (NSAA).

Bill enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards and watching sports. He also enjoyed visiting with friends and past acquaintances. Bill loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his (son) Mike Schnoor and (daughter-in-law) Shelly, (granddaughter) Payton and (grandson) Jordan, all of Norfolk; (sister) Vernice and (brother-in-law) Lorence Stumpe of Scribner; (brother-in-law) Ray and (sister-in-law) Sue Wobken of Seward; (sister-in-law) Doris Wobken of Scribner; (sister-in-law) Mary Schnoor of Blair; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his (wife) Dianne; (parents) Harold and Viola Schnoor; (brother) LeRoy Schnoor; (mother-in-law) Dorothy Clausen; (step father-in-law) Hans Clausen; (brothers-in-law) Richard Wobken and Clifford Vakiner; and (nephew) Bruce Wobken.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at First Lutheran Church (3200 E. Military) in Fremont. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery with lunch to follow back at the church. The visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.

Flowers are welcome. Memorials may be made to his grandchildren, as per Bill's wish.
